In April 2023, LTK and adidas ran the first in-app LTK × adidas sale, available only in the LTK app. It had to work for two groups at once: creators, who had to get ready and post, and shoppers, who had four days to buy.
A repeating #LTKxadidas ribbon ran through every asset, from stories to emails. It was one simple motif that made the event easy to spot in a crowded feed, and the black-and-white palette matched adidas.
For creators, I made story templates and decks explaining the event and asking them to fill their LTK Shops with styled content beforehand. For shoppers, I made emails that built up to the sale: “starts tomorrow,” then “starts today,” each with one thing to do (favorite your picks, then shop the sale).
“Available only in the LTK app,” 30% off sitewide with a code found in the app, and a firm end date. That gave shoppers a reason to open the app and a reason not to wait.
Every asset used creator photos with their handles, and the emails had a “Creator favorites” section, so the sale read like recommendations from real people.

Teaser and launch emails: “starts tomorrow” and “starts today.”

Creator story series: a “Get ready” announcement, then Ultraboost and women’s workout stories.

Also delivered: blog images, banners and Google Slides decks.
The sale ran April 20–23, 2023, exclusive to the LTK app, with 30% off sitewide.
Creators were asked to share it with #LTKxadidas, and LTK featured creator content in its announcement. LTK hasn’t published sales results for the event, and I no longer have access to them.
Dates, discount and hashtag from LTK’s creator blog.
The sale had two audiences, so it needed two sets of messages. Creators have to be ready before shoppers show up. One shared look tied the two together.
